Team matchup: Baltimore is fighting for playoff spot this year and this is big suprise for all of us. One of the reasons, why they are so good is consistency at home and on the road. At home they are 37-30 and on the road 38-29. They have even better record on the road, than at home. Baltimore is playing some very good baseball, they are 8-2 in last 10 games and they took yesterday game in Toronto, where they won by 4-0. On other side season for Toronto is over. They were very good at the beginning of the season, where they were complete. Right now, they are playing without some key players - Bautista, Lawrie and Arencibila. They are on the last place in AL East with record 60-74. They are 4-6 in last 10 games and they score only 3 runs/game in last 7 games. They are also 15-24 against left handed pitchers this season. On other side Baltimore is 53-45 against right handed pitchers. We saw this matchup this season. Villanueva against Britton. Britton won, he allowed only 2 runs in 6 ininngs, on other side Villanueva allowed 4 runs in 5 ininngs.
Pitching matchup: Britton is pitching like an ace right now. 3-0 with ERA 1.25 in last 3 starts. He played against White Sox, where he allowed 1 run, he played against Toronto, where he allowed 2 runs and he pitched 7 scoreless ininngs against Detroit. Amazing numbers. Villanueva is rock solid whole season, but as you see, Britton is playing like an ace and there will not be starting pitching advantage. Bullpen is on Baltimore's side. Baltimore has one of the best road bullpens in the league with ERA 2.67, on other side Toronto has below average home bullpen with ERA 4.65.

Reason for pick: Orioles have bad record playing in Toronto, but this is their year. They play good baseball and they have better team right now. They will have red hot pitcher on the mound and I think they should win this one. On other side Toronto is playing without some key players. Villanueva is very good this season, but their lineup is weak. I also expect a lot of pressure on Villanueva from the start of the game and then we have bullpen, where Baltimore is better again. Plus money on Baltimore is the right call, no matter what happen.
